The Mission of the HVFD

A Message from our President

I wish to welcome you to the Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. web site. We are a combination system where the volunteer and career coexist to the benefit of the community that we serve. We pride ourselves on our Mission Statement that follows.

The purpose of this department is to save lives and prevent, control, and limit damage caused by fire in the community that we serve and elsewhere as may be practical; to render assistance in emergencies; to give aid to the injured; and to influence prevention of fire and accident.

Integrity: We will conduct ourselves in the highest form of honesty, perform our duties with honor, and strive for excellence.

Respect: We will treat each other, volunteers, career, and the community with respect and in turn earn the trust of others by fulfilling our responsibilities and duties.

Individual Fulfillment: We will create an environment in which we can and will achieve individual and Corporation potentials of providing a high quality fire and rescue service to the community at a best-cost approach while holding high professionalism in our job and service.
