Membership

The HVFD has members that perform a wide range of duties, including:

• Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
• Firefighter/EMTs
• Officers
• Administrative

We are always in need of more volunteers! The volunteers provide very importmant augmentation to the staffing levels provided by career personnel. Without volunteers, equipment is staffed only at the minimum required, and sometimes less.

Volunteers enjoy a wide range of benefits as well! Besides of valuable community service, you receive:

• Free fire and medical training;
• Eligibility for tuition assistance for fire-related college courses;
• Valuable and rewarding experiences in an exciting field;
• Instructor qualifications in CPR, EMT, and other areas;
• Tax credits after serving for a length of time.
